Laceweb Action - July 2001

The mood that attunes
As a ceremonial procession of around 60 people move through the wider gathering, more people join. By the time the creek beach is reached around 1000 people have become involved. The elation spreads through the throng participating in the Water Down the Plug Hole spontaneous drama enabled by a laceweb enabler.

More of the mood that attunes
This group has just finished a trust experience at the creek beach and are very closely bonded. Many talked for hours about the experience.

A resonant Healing Art gathering
Participants at this laceweb healing artistry gathering in April 2001 typically have done little or no drawing in the past. Now they are doing wonderful work, with many saying that the mindbody shifts they are making during the experience are profound.

Another healing space
The last day of the July 2001 Gathering is held on the public esplanade at Cairns. Attendees link with other local grassroots networks.

Waiting for arrivals
Even as they wait for others to arrive, healing storytelling unfolds.

More arriving
Attendees have drawn so close together they looked forward to reconnecting each day.

Engrossed in the storytelling
Like natural nurturers through the ages, stories are shared for healing wellbeing.

Two generations
The Gathering explores the sharing of ways to resolve inter-generational dysfunction. The Irish and Brazilian women and the pregnant younger women listen to the stories.

Drawing to a close
The consensus is that the healing ways we are sharing and experiencing are easy to use, and interculturally adaptable. Ideas are evolving for bringing down to Australia in the coming months, sixteen local natural nurturers from each of Bougainville, East Timor, and from the West Papuan Community living in PNG.

First timer
Some of the attendees travel 170 kilometres to stay at the Petford Therapeutic Community run by Geoff Guest and his partner Norma.
